Chesham Village Parking FAQ
IMPORTANT - Please remember to attach all parking permits to the lower left corner of the window facing the street. This is true for both Short Term Visitor permits and Long-Term Resident permits.
Chesham Village Townhomes requires a permit for overnight parking in any of the parking stalls.
Visitors and Residents have two choices for obtaining a permit, Temporary Single-Night/Multi-Night permits for visitors only and Long-Term permits for residents only.
Short Term Visitor Permits
Visitor permits are available for non-residents for a minimum of 1 and up to a maximum of 7 nights. Visitor permits are free. Overnight parking hours are from 12:00 AM to 6:00 AM. The parking stalls will be patrolled during these hours. Vehicles that are found parked overnight after their expiration date are subject to towing. Residents using the visitor permits for their own vehicles are also subject to towing.
To obtain a visitor permit, there are two steps that you will need to take:
- Residents wishing to use the texting system will first need to register their phone number and email with the texting program. You must do this through Redrock HOA Management. Please send your Name, Home Address, Phone Number, and Email Address to HOA@redrockhoa.com. When they have completed the registration, you will receive a welcome text that you are entered into the system. It may take up to 24 hours for your information to be fully registered in the system.
** Management is available Monday through Friday from 9:00 A.M. to 5:00 P.M. Register now, you never know when you'll need it! - A resident who now has registered their number with the texting system may then text the word ‘permit’ to 515-800-7275 and follow the instructions presented. Once approved, you will receive the permit by text and by email. You will then need to print the permit and attach the permit to the lower left corner of the window facing the street.
The following are the step by step details to obtain a permit through the texting system:
- Text the word ‘permit’ to 515-800-7275
- You will be asked to enter the plate number for the vehicle in question.
- You will be asked for the number of days for which you would like to obtain the permit (Max 7).
- You will be asked to enter the date you would like the permit to start. Reply 1 for the permit to start that same day or enter a specific date in the future for any permit starting later.
- The permit information will be displayed on the screen and you’ll be asked to confirm the request by replying with a 1.
- Upon completion, you will receive a link to the permit by text message and by email. You will need to follow the link and then you will need to PRINT the permit.
- Place the permit fully against the window that is facing the street in the lower left corner so that the QR Code can be scanned from a mobile device.
- The permit will expire at 6:00 A.M. on the date indicated on a single-night permit, and at 6:00 A.M. on the morning after the last date shown on a multi-night permit.
Please contact management at HOA@redrockhoa.com to register for the texting system or to ask any questions you might have. Once you are registered you may also text ‘faq’ to 515-800-7275 at any time to receive a link back to this page.
We also would ask that you do not abuse the system. If it becomes too difficult to manage the texting system requests, then permits will only be available through management instead of the texting system.
Long Term Parking for Residents
There are currently twenty-three (23) Assigned Resident Parking Spaces. The Board intends to reduce this number as time progresses.
Resident permits are obtained through application to the lottery system. The lottery will be held every 6 months in June and December and details will be sent out beforehand to each resident. The cost for these permits is $50.00 per month. Residents are not allowed more than one (1) long term permit. This fee will be charged until the permit is returned to management or until the permit expires at the end of the next parking cycle.
